Finally I had some time to edit a video from last summer.
This one was taken in Mariestad, a town on the west side of the largest lake in Sweden (Vänern).
As with most towns in Sweden, it used to have a pretty active rail connection with a siding to the harbor and some industry connections.
Most is gone or not in use, but 2 companies still use the rail connection.
On the morning of 27-7-2018 I drove 1 hour to Mariestad to try and catch the freight train.
Unfortunately it did not run that morning, so I took my time and documented as much as possible from the site.
I (of course) also made a video from that morning.
Notice the many birds that were flying around the drone (mainly Swallows)
It was hard to feel comfortable.....
Hello and good day Montfrooij. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video and photo you have shot from Mariestad in Sweden. Great work and thank you for your support.

Great video. Love the architecture of the station building at the beginning. Wonder why the swallows we were flying close to your drone, were they curious or frightened I wonder?

Thanks Chris, yes these Swedish stations very often have great architecture!
I (so far) only had issues with swallows.
I think they are being protective.
When I flew at the industrial site, it was not a problem at all.
Hey Monty great job really well put together in your usual cinematic way.
I beginning to think you have a great interest in trains, my father used to say about trains.
“It ought to be plain how little you gain
by getting excited and vexed.
You'll always be late for the previous train,
and always on time for the next.”

Thanks a lot Hallmark.
Yes, indeed....
I have 'a thing' for trains.
Probably because my dad took me to the station to watch the diesel engines shunt with freight trains all the time....
Hahahahahahaha.
Nice one!
