I’ve had my phantom 4 pro V2.0 drone for almost a year now. It has never once updated the firmware. i am having problems with my gimbal and was suggested to update the firmware so I check and the current Firmware Installed is up to date. I’m just trying to get a better understanding of update and from where and how often it I’m just trying to get a better understanding. T.I.A.!!
Hi IBrobz1904, thanks for reaching out and sorry for the trouble that it caused. It is highly recommended to upgrade the firmware to the latest version since it is the optimization on the previous firmware. However, you may or you may not upgrade if everything is working well for you with the current firmware version you have. Kindly follow the video tutorials below on how to properly update the firmware. After that, kindly calibrate the Gimbal. Go to the General settings which is the 3 dots on the top right. Tap on gimbal settings and then calibrate the gimbal. Please let me know if the problem persist, we're here to help. Thank you.
Just click the button to refresh the firmware as there may have been a glitch during an fw update, i find it best to always do it twice when a new one is available too
