Hello Im reaching out im hope that someone may have an answer to my problem!

Recently flying my Spark my Video image will cut out and my whole cellphone screen goes completely Black ( this has happened 2 times before) while i still have control over the quad its a bit annoying and rather nerve racking. I Have my Spark Hooked up through RC and OTG.

Does it say transmission lost  ?

Recently I have a problem when image area was black while flying. Not whole screen but only an area where camera view is shown. I turned off the drone removed the battery, turned off DJI GO4 and removed it from telefone memory. Then ran the app and the drone again, and situation was stabilized.

Ill have to give that a try, i restored my phone back to factory so i recently deleted everything and reinstalled the DJI GO4 App as well as the DJI GO App for my phantom. This happened once before, which i thought might have just been a wifi interference issue. But it happened again last night

Yeah you're telling me, i mean i still have full control over the drone its just super sketchy not being able to see anything for 30 seconds whilst flying. I was promted to downgrade the firm wear the other night so we'll see if that has any effect

I wouldn't  want to use just the phone, i like having full control through the Remote Controller, although i can use and fly with just my phone yes.

I'd say that the J3 is at the limits with 2 GB Ram and a 1.4 Ghz CPU
How full is your Rom? (Not only) Samsungs tend to go slower, if less than 2 or 3 GB Rom are available
Perhaps disable the video cache for testing.
I'd try an older app, b/c they are less filled with unneeded DJI drone models.
I mean, in case you have just the Spark,  you don't really need more as a 4.1.15 or a 4.2.21
just my2c (flying 4.1.15 and 4.2.21 on droids with Droid 7, 8, 9)

Don't read the list wrong.
This are "tested positive" devices.
So you never know, if they have tested other devices "negative" or just not tested other devices at all!
But I think, the J3 is not performing good enough, or is to close to the limit for the needed performance.
"Empty", nothing else on it, it may work.
"Full" , with a lot of apps and Rom loaded, it may not.

I haven’t had an issue with the J3 until recently, I’ve reset the phone back to factory and deleted a lot of other apps etc. So far everything is working well again, like I said it prompted me to downgrade the firmware which has seemed to help

I feel even though my phone isn’t listed, as long at the Android software is up to date it shouldn’t have an issue, my J3 Emerge hadn’t had this issue until recently and I downgraded the firmware on the spark which has seemed to help

True. A lot of times people downgrade firmware because it will not use as much processing power   
Nothing wrong with that.
