I've been having trouble with the Ronin S. When attempting a tracking shot it gets a sideways wobble. The balance is all excellent. And the stiffness after autotune is pan tilt and roll all at 28.

The Power numbers for pan, tilt, roll while standing on a level surface still runs at 5,0,1 and then 4,1,1, then 4,1,0 etc. it never settles down. Is that normal?

Not to mention that the IR record cable no longer works after the firmware upgrade!!!

Any ideas?

Hi LWGray, please try the Auto Tune and then take something like the included charger and place it under one of the tripod legs and hold the handle. With your other hand, go into the App and run the balance test to see if all three axes are balanced properly. You may turn off Roll SmoothTrack.
For the IR cable, did you set the correct camera model in the APP--Create--Camera Control?

Thanks! Yep, for some reason the camera setting wasn’t on canon!

All the balance is fine and we autotune before use.

Will try turning off the Roll smoothtrack.

Now that’s what I’m talking about! The result of turning off smoothrack on the roll did the trick. High low High on pan and tilt with roll off gives that nice glide when tracking.
