I agree totally. A V30 should work. I upgraded to a V60 for the Osmo
Pocket after my computer playback had it dropping frames at the beginning or end. This did the trick.

Has anyone used this card: Lexar Professional 1000x 256GB microSD UHS-II Card with any success on the Osmo Action?

Are you sure it’s because of the card and not a computer issue? V30 and V60 probably have different read speeds, so if you’re playing back straight from an SD card, it can stutter.

But for pure recoding, V30 should do the job on the Pocket since it also records in 100Mbps like the Action.

Haven’t used it, but as far as I know, Lexar doesn’t exist anymore and neither does the support for their cards, so I’d definitely get the Sandisk cards instead.

I tested my system.

Befor i play anything, i transfer the file to a 4 X 7200rpm raid. this raid reads and writes over 500Mbps, the graphics card is an 8GB GTX, so I knew my system is up to scratch. I was a professional video producer and photographer.

I found I needed the V60 speed.

I bought 4 OSMO actions and I’m trying to use the Lexar Professional 256 gb 667x microSDXC And it’s UHS-1 V30 U3 says it’s 4 k compatible and it won’t register or function in the camera... I just get the red slash through the SD symbol and the card format is gray??? So frustrating. Anybody know why, how to fix for function or if this memory card is just not compatible with this device?

I bought my first OA last year, meanwhile I got a second one. I only use the 2K-Mode with a video bitrate of 80 MBit, I am not interested in 4K.   From my former use of the YI 4K I have more then 20 of SanDisk Ultra 128 GB XC I cards. The Osmo Action works well with these cards in 80 MBit-Modes when taking the videos. But it refuses to replay the clips just recorded with the message: „The writing speed of the SD-Card is to slow, clip can‘t be played“.  For me this seames to be a complete nonsens! How can there be a problem with the writing speed while reading from the card for playing the video?! By the way, when writing to the card from  Windows via an USB-3 adapter, I get a transfer rate from about 50 MBytes/second, this is 5 times the data rate of an 80 Mbit clip.  So I have to put the SD-Card into my smartphone each time I want to see a clip recorded with the OA. Has anyone an explanation for this behavior of the OA? For my opinion, this is a software bug.
