Hello all,

I first made a post in regards to a battery issue, linked here https://forum.dji.com/forum.php? ... 184562&mobile=2 . I got the following photos a day or so after it arrived at cerritos, ca, which clearly shows the gap, see below, that exists when I install this battery into my aircraft, Screenshot_20190517-102509_Chrome.jpg
With the original image of the battery in my aircraft in the post above.

So now I am faced with an impasse with support, because now they want my aircraft for testing, which is not possible since it is what I use for work, and the fact I cannot use this battery due to the risks of flying it. All I want to know, is what actions should I take moving forward, since normal repair functions have seemly failed to catch the issue, or flat out is indifferent to the customers overall experience. Believe me when I say, that I never wanted this issue to come to this, but at this point it has become a matter of principle for me to challenge this decision and to try to resolve it because it is not fair for me to play swings and roundabouts when all I want is a simple answer of whether or not I can fly this battery, or have it replaced under warranty, which it is well within considering it is 3 months old at time of writing.

Thanks
Alpha

Yeah it does look like you have a problem with that battery, it almost looks like it’s sitting above the frame.
I have checked mine and it is very similar to your correct one.

Exactly! And it's only this battery, whichcame with the mavic 2 pro I picked up in February, where as the other 3 I own have no issue. I talked with a guy who's been a hobbyist for like 20+ years, and what he suggested is that the battery may have swollen just slightly, which is why I don't plan on flying this if that is the case. I'll pull out some calipers and do some measurements just to be safe.

Hi AlphaFlightNW, sorry to read about the frustrations. May we ask for the associated case number (CAS)? We're here to help. Thank you.

I had contacted a support specialist immediately upon recieving the battery in question, and was told my aircraft is required for "testing". I am confused on this point since it is battery issue rather than the aircraft. What i require at this point is 1. Assurance that the battery cells integrity has not been compromised, making it ok to fly, or 2. Options to have it replaced under warranty. I can link to all available evidence this far, including videos and photos taken, and if needed, show my other three batteries fitting into my aircraft normally.

May I verify if there is any error message in the APP like the battery is not detected or not installed properly? Is the voltage normal in the Battery Settings?

I noticed when I was flying my M2P two weekends back from 100% till nearly 0% that battery was little bit lifting up, not as yours but only little bit, when it was warm after flight, when it cooled down it was again flush. Bottom of battery was flat all the time.
