I was alarmed yesterday when I had arranged a meeting of the Jersey Droners  and after telling everyone we were in unrestricted air space (according to FAA recommended AirMap)  the Go4 app started telling everyone that we were in Newark airport airspace.   We also got a weird message about limited altitude to 429feet?   I was not over 400 and did not understand the point of being told  that I was restricted to 429?  I had no plans to go higher than 400 and spent most of the morning flying at 29-40 feet to get pictures of old boats.

I hope that the DJI app will not start to limit us in error and I don’t understand why the DJI  app  had different airspace info then the FAA AirMap  LANCC   (its what part 107 pilots use to get authorization when needed why would the app be different?)

Anyone can get AirMap for free..  you can pick a spot  and enter recreational flyer or part 107  and it tells you if you can fly or not and why.

Maybe it ties in with the new rules and regulations introduced two days ago ?

I’m working on using your unlocking system, but the problem is your geofencing is not accurate .  We were well out of newark airports controlled airspace according to my aeronautical map and AirMap,  but Go4  was telling recreational fliers that they were breaking the law.  When this happened we were not forced to unlock anything.

When I did get the unlock in another flight (further than 5 miles from the airport Linden,Nj)  I could not get the unlock screen until I was hovering.  That’s unsafe ..and wastes battery   when it’s a  TFR  nearby  (one you could unlock)I used to get the warning and was unable to take off until I got the code.  Not sure what’s going on.

I've been having issues with the unlocking procedure.  It should be as easy as it is with Airmap.
