Some folk think we,  in Australia,   have Kangaroos bounding up & down the main streets.  Not true !   But as you will see,  there is no shortage of them.
I saw these 'Roos on my way home to Suburbia this morning & thought I'd just quickly get a little bit of video.
So,  these were filmed within 500 mtrs of the suburb I live in.  They are regularly there & seem as "Happy as Larry" so-to-speak.  Why wouldn't they be,  plenty of feed & water there for the taking.

The video isn't at all professional & I make no apologies - I just wanted to get something quickly to post.............
I hope its' OK.

Great capture!  Lots of skippys.

Thanks Alabama,  they can be a problem in some areas.  We take them for granted,  but they are a strange animal - very interesting.
Cheers

Hahaha.  I guess they (the rabbits) could make a mess of a tulip crop ?

We have rabbit also,  introduced by the English Gentry along with foxes.  A bit of sport hunting the blighters Old Chap.   Well as you can no doubt imagine the numbers exploded & they are both a serious pest nowadays,  especially the rabbits.

We also have introduced goats,  camels,  horses,  donkeys etc.  All of which seem to thrive & naturally compete with the native wildlife.

Aloha Manx,

Wow, they are all over the place!  Good to see they are still surviving in the presence of the introduced pests.

BTW, did I mention that we have wallabies over here.  I helped on a survey for Bishop Museum and actually got within 10 feet of one on a cliff-face.  The feral dogs keep them in check and the wallabies kick them off the cliff when they get to close.  Interesting.

Aloha and Drone On!

WOW,  they get everywhere.
Did you mean the Wobbelies kick the dogs off the cliff ?  If that's so,  it is very interesting as 'roos here have been known to back into water when chased by dogs,  then drown them !

No Moose this far South in Ontario, Canada.  I have never encountered one in my neck of the woods. Or bears.  But the chipmunks have migrated this way and run rampant!  Little buggers are so cute but such a pain in the ass!  One fell asleep eating in our bird feeder the other day!  Just decided to take a nap!  No care in the world.

Aloha Manx,

In your case, the 'roos kind of take sucker "punch" to a whole new level.  Ahh, to drown in the punch bowl!

Aloha Manx,

Here we have a feral cat that loves to drink from the birdbath - his "bird punch".  Apparently, the dogs like the 'roo punch with real 'roo!  But the 'roos have a different idea and take the 'roo punch to the sucker punch level.

Well, it was worth a shot anyway.
