Hi guys!

This is my first post on this forum and also my first video with drone footage.
We used a DJI Mavic Air and Sony Alpha 6500 + 16-50 in our 9-day trip on the Ring Road of beautiful Iceland.
The weather was typical for Iceland (days with strong winds above 40 km/h and rain) but I guess we were also kind of lucky, because we also had some warm and sunny days. Curiously, these were in Northern Iceland, not in the south.

We were there between 13 and 21 May and Spring had only arrived in just a few places.
There are lots of drone restrictions at the most popular sites and there were many places where we could not fly it because of that or the rain / wind (sometimes both).


We used a very special song that inspired us. It is called Vor i Vaglaskogi and it means Spring in Vaglaskogur. Vaglaskogur is a small forest in Northern Iceland, close to Akureyri and the lyrics of the song are actually an old Icelandic love poem. The song is adapted by Kaleo, a very talented band from Iceland.

We also had such problems on the beach near Vik because it was very dark due to low fog (you can see that at 1:54). It was actually very weird. We also filmed towards the black rocks in the water and the right hand coast (that was a bit in the shadow) showed up completely black on the footage instead of green (as it was in reality).
Other than that, we didn't do anything special but leave our video settings on 0 (saturation, contrast and sharpness).  Hope that helps!

Yes, the only setting was for WB and frame rate, 25fps with 1/50. Unfortunately the sensor is not so big and the noise is inevitably in some situations.

We used ND filters, mostly 16 and 32, but also 64 for the glaciers in sunny conditions.

In the future I will test another settings instead of 0.0.0 and I hope to have some better results. I'm new to drones and more time is needed in order to achieve experience.

How beautiful! I am amazed by the amount of talent across the globe, and you have shown that to be true again. I felt I was there when I played this on a big screen. Even more though your choice of shots, editing, the music and the raw beauty of Iceland made me want to jump up this morning, grab my drone, and run outside and photograph Iceland myself. Of course, then I realized that at 8AM in Houston, TX it is already 30°C heading for a high of 38°C. So now I’m thinking I’ll stay in bed and watch your beautiful and inspiring video over and over!

Hi, there!
We also used a Sony A6500 to shoot this video. Basically everything that's not aerial was shot with the Sony.
For editing we used Adobe Premiere Pro, but only because we don't have an Apple device. Otherwise we would have probably used iMovie too.
