If you change the RTH alt does the battery home indicator change such as if you increase it from 60m to 200m or 500m, does the timer of how long it needs before it has to come back w/ no battery change? I know the home indicator may be based upon the current load because when I drop from high-alt the bar is changing rapidly and the home time indicator starts to drop fast. Of course, I would never RTH to 500M but if you mess up w/ low battery by losing connection, your drone will run out of juice and crash?

Why don't you do some testing and find out?

I'm not in the air right now but later on I will see.  You have 3 drones and have no idea either?

I think our friend is after brownie points by generating meaningless and controversial posts:-

Not very well I notice. BTW, he has the uncanny ability of getting hold of the wrong end of several technical sticks, all simultaneoously, which makes his pontifications gibberish.

Blimey guys ... even as a lowly Brit I can understand his 'busted' US spiel.

Would battery assessment for RTH change if RTH altitude is altered ?

Risking adverse comment - I would suggest yes. If the algorythm is capable of calculating RTH battery - then surely it is capable of including the climb to and climb from set altitude ? But I would suggest that in practical terms a difficult test to conduct ... variable winds getting to what you hope is same distant point to compare Home Battery point ... etc.

Now if you altered the RTH height in flight ? That would be an interesting thing to consider as to whether the Home Point dot on the battery line would alter.

Accidentally setting a 500M RTH at low alt, unsure how accurate it is, it would have to factor in climb rate and decent rate which takes a while to decend.  If you lose signal you can't really Do anything.

You can test by not reaching RTH point. Fly out a distance, hover then watch the Home Point on the battery line when you alter the setting.
