You're welcome.
I also have to remain VLOS here in NL!
But still the stable connection of the Mavic Pro is very important to me.

Ok, I see your point about that.

The MA is great and there are lots of threads here that can help you get the most out of it.  The "color eater" thread is particularly good (for example).

We will always covet the drone that has more, whatever that "more" is, but for the money I am still very satisfied with mine.  Endurance is ok, but with 4 batteries I have no issues.  The controlability and speed are fantastic for the price and picture quality is more than adequate for the hobbyist.

I didn't vote as I am not a MA owner. I have been considering its pro such as portable size for travelling and want to get one, however, its short range in CE mode at 5.8GHz stops me from buying. So it depends on what zone you wll fly the drone to determine how worth it can be.

Part of the reason I got the MA was because it was way cheaper on sale, while the MP was not nearly as inexpensive. The MP would have been a cool drone though.

Took the MA to Greece last year.  It (fly more combo bag, 4 battery charger, 4 batteries total) fits in the bottom of my backpack taking up very little space compared to other options.  It is my favorite travel drone.  As much as I liked the Spark, I like the MA better.  More recently, I did have a mishap losing signal under a tree, my mistake, out of warranty (dji care expired) and broke an arm axis.  Was able to repair myself but utilizing my neighbors soldering skills, took us 2 hours to watch video while taking apart and putting back together.  Other than time, just under $20 for new arm axis and new props.  Flies just as good as it did prior to the incident.  Was impressed from a durability standpoint that a fall from about 15 feet out of a tree did no damage to the gimbal.

Neat! Glad you were able to save it.

I’m already impressed and haven’t even gotten out to fly it! I will make sure to post a video of my maiden flight when I do.

For it's price it is one of the best value for money drones out there IMO. Bust as always, it depends on what the individual needs are as to whether it's the best drone for you.

Particularly as the price continues to drop.

Yes, that too - you can get a brand new fly more combo from an authorised dealer here for £840 now reduced from £949.

It is sometime already on the market... to many complains about range... I would wait for a new release on this model

"It is sometime already on the market..."  - they've gotten the bugs worked out.
"...to many complains about range..." - I've see folks go almost 3 miles.
"...I would wait for a new release of this model.." - unlikely this will ever happen.

I have both, and while I like the Mavic Air, at times I have difficulty connecting the MA to the controller. I don't have that problem with the Spark.
I find the MA more stable in any kind of wind, and I do like the fact that the MA offers more camera options. Just my .02. YMMV.

I bought a MP second hand!
Only 8 hours of flying on it, so as good as new.
And for 'only' €800,-  (Fly more combo with ND filterset)

I have a MA, and love it. It's a fun little drone to fly, especially in doors.

Is it true who flys in USA loves MA? As it flys in FCC mode and has the best performance.

I get good distance on mine in the US.  Here's an example:

Maybe originally. But moving forward it seems like they're not continuing to update the firmware/app and recent hardware they've released isn't supported either. It's still one of the best drones in that price range, but for the amount of time it has been out I would expect a reduction in price or at least some continued support. I wouldn't pay the 1k+ price tag for the fly more combo, so second hand sales are probably going to be quite popular with this drone.

I upgraded from a spark to the mavic air and i'm glad I did.  Much beter to fly and harder (at least for me) to fly into things.  I still have my spark for my g/f to fly and my son to fly one day when he's older.

Thanks to all. I have been flying my MA since the time that I posted this, and I can definitely tell - the MA is worth every penny. The new Mavic Mini is very enticing, but the whole reason I upgraded from the Spark was so I could get a 4K camera, not 2.7K. Thanks for all your great advice, and I can officially answer "yes" to my own poll
