It would be great to write a program for this where they all act like a horde and seek out each other on the same WiFi network!

I envision some creative video that shows a single male figure with a backpack, standing in the middle of a wide road facing a RoboMaster, and as the vehicle moves to go around the figure, the figure moves and continues to block the vehicle from moving forward.  In the background more RoboMasters are following and there' smoke everywhere.... Granted, many of the developers of the "learning toy" weren't aware of the events in the square, but those of us who were should see the irony of the timing of this release and it's first use.  I certainly hope there are other robotic accessories "...turrets..." soon to come.  I'd rather have MY grandson learning CONSTRUCTIVE robotic coding.

When is this available in the UK - fantastic idea!!

If I would like to purchase a few of these for my son's school, invest in the future and all that, how would I go about it? Can anyone from DJI reply please?

And then the whole school will know how to code an attack!

This looks pretty cool.

I have some questions about the python support. It looks like the python has to be run in a sandboxed environment. Is that true, or is there a standard python library you can install on your computer to run arbitrary python programs that control it?

And if so, what is the sensor feed you get? In particular, can you access the video feed?

Why does it need to have a gun or a turret?  Not sure I like this direction at all.  Kinda Skynetish looking.

I get it is fun etc.  My kids are learning coding at school with STEM, etc.  Even though this product sounds promising, I wouldn't buy it for my kids.  Why a tank and not a friendly robot, etc?  Or why not extend the tello line with newer a drone.  Hopefully DJI rethinks this and releases other models not promoting battle/war themes.

It would have been incredible to use this as a dolly car. Looking so modular, maybe it will be possible in the future

Had it come with a recharging station, similar to robotic vacuums use, could see several uses for it.
One being a automated guard K9.  Responding to noises or remote user command, off it goes on a patrol check.  Sending pictures back to owner.

So this is aimed for children, literally, right?
Why do we have to associate weapons and guns with fun? Was it not possible to use a different toy for education?Decades ago, we managed to leave the old trend with buying children guns and weapons as fun for aiming at eachother, now were gonna take a big step back and make "war" fun again?
It may seems harmless to you and me, but for children, using this for education, is wrong in so many ways. We have enough violence in the world already, we dont need to translate weapons into fun.

Agreed.  Feel a robotic arm on it would have been far better that gel bead weapon.  Especially when it comes to "Advanced Educational Robot".

Im glad im not the only one thinking this is the wrong way to label education for kids with.

Watch the assembly video.... Not too bad, but it really gives you an understanding of the various connected parts and how well engineered everything fits.  Too bad there's only a gun attachment.  Not a STEM project for my young ones.

Yeah, and separate motors for every wheel as well.  No transmission, no drivetrain, .... all from a controller module.  The only thing missing is a replacement for the gun.  Like robotic arms that turn, grip, grab and work together or independently.

I ordered one for my son and myself. Can this be used outside? For use using it outside would be optimal for use due to no garage.

Way to GO DJI !!  And to include the Assembly Video as part of marketing is GENIUS!  I get to see all the complexity and engineering that it took just for the physical (v. electronic and code) that went into developing it.  I'm hoping for some more "non lethal" modules in the future, though.  Seems like combat, combat strategy, and shooting can't be the only use for sophisticated robotics.

I just wish I had toys like this when I was a kid!!!
