Many posts on the OP User facebook page that the new firmware will not download and install. Anyone seeing the same or have anyone completed the update?

Same here error on all different IOS , using WiFi and cellular same issue ..guess they screwed this one up , prob be fixed in a few days

Yes, same. App says 1.08 something available. Android phone says 'Firmware installing...' but stays at 0% before some time later says device disconnected. If I detach and reattach camera, it sometimes instantly hits 50% and says firmware update failed. Tried many times. Tried resetting and reformatting. Uninstalled and reinstalled app. Also tried iPad pro, but it says can't verify firmware at all.

Also chatted with support. Explained problem, but they made no mention of new firmware or reports of any problems. Said to complete an email requesting support for return.

Why 1.06? Should it be 1.07?

I just purchased camera yesterday and 1.06 was default version. App immediately alerted to 1.08 firmware.

I'm not sure that it's ever wise to rush to update any device.  Let others discover the problems!  I was about to update a phone once, checked the relevant forum, discovered that everyone's phone had been bricked - permanently - by the update....

There is no 'rushing' to update when the app automatically prompts the user to update to the latest version. By your logic nobody would update their device. The manufacturer is responsible for releasing the firmware to the app for the user to update. The customer doesn't seek it out.
