Lume cube make good products. This indeed seems a great Strobe but ... at $49 it's expensive and it is relatively large (in context of a Mavic or smaller).

I use powerful Stobon's. Visible for km's, go on what seems forever on one charge, much smaller and substantially cheaper. Not as finished looking mind.

There are smaller and cheaper options on Ebay, and they work as well as this one here.

Yeah, a bit pricey, heavier, and a bigger footprint. I have 4 of the Strobon Cree units, 2 for the Mavic, and 2 for my heavy lift Tarot Hex.
Better option I believe...

I think the big thing with these strobes is the fully meet FAA standards for anti collision, yes others are cheaper but will they meet the criteria?

The FAA's requirement (for 107 pilots flying at night) is that the lights be visible at least 3 NM away, and yes, the Strobon Cree does satisfy that requirement as mentioned here.

Thank you, and thanks for bringing this product to our attention. It appears a bit sturdier than the Strobon Cree and the extra weight (just 6 grams more than the Cree) isn't likely to have a noticeable impact on anyone's flight time, so it looks like a good product to me.
