Have issue with Gimbal starting

bought new may 2017 lightly used for about a year and a month.

The gimbal just doesn initiate, after several seconds of calibrating the power is off to gimbal. Camera still works.
The drone is just collecting dust for a about a year, but would prefer to still use it.
If anyone had the same issue or has any suggestions, please share
