option to choose several modes of FOV just complicate things, i think you would have to tune rocksteady and dewarp to suit each FOV option.
even if you changed lens and so that way altered FOV i think it might play havoc with some settings in the camera then, say you have put on a 90 degree lens, turn on reocsteady and dewarp and you would then have a more narrow FOV and the current rocksteady and dewarp values would be off.
In post software you can also get or make dewarp profiles to suit your different cameras / lenses, so using a wrong dewarp profile would make the end result less optimal.
say you used the gopro 6 black profile for a recording made on your DSlr with so and so lens, that could turn ugly. |
