There is growing animosity towards Drones flying overhead. Some people are actually throwing things or shooting at them, touting that their privacy is being invaded. Well I’m sorry, most of the fly-overs have nothing to do with privacy issues. I mean when you’re walking in a public place you’ve already given up your privacy, and you’re out there for all the world to see and photograph. Short of peeking into your private life, drones are not hijacking people’s privacy.
So what’s the real problem? I believe it’s the annoying “buzzing noise” that drones make. It’s like having a large insect buzzing around your head, and I think it grates on people’s nerves and you want to swat at it. I mean birds fly overhead all the time but we don’t throw things at them. So what’s the answer? I think Drones need a different, less annoying sound. Something that is friendlier and less like a big insect. Maybe they should make a humming sound or play pleasant music while hovering. All joking aside, Psychologists could probably find the actual cause of the annoyance and suggest some answers to the engineers... because Drones are NOT going away, and we need everyone to start getting along before the Drone wars start. |
