Is it possible to mount a Nikon D850 with the MB-D18 battery grip on a Ronin S gimbal?

Thanks for your quick answer. Due to the considerable power consumption of the D850 in Live View mode, I'm using the battery grip with the EN-EL18 accu. But I have my doubts on the balancing of the system on the Ronin S. I think I will test it out in a local store one of these days.

Interesting! Do you need constant power supply in the net, using this accessory?

I doubt if that will balance correctly indeed.
Nikon sells a power adapter that can be used for this. (so it runs on external power supply)

No need ! You can use power-bank

Concerning the use of a Nikon D850 with battery grip on the Ronin S... After testing out in real world (dealer Kamera Express), we found out that the whole camera mounted on the power grip has a center of gravity that lies above the axis of the motor, so balancing is not possible anymore since the whole setup will always turn upside down. Later I read in the Ronin S manual that the maximum height of the camera cannot be higher than 150 mm - in my case body + grip measures more than 170 mm. Solution: removed the grip and used the inner accu (bought a spare one!).
Nevertheless, today I bought the Ronin S essentials kit + mms cable B.
