First of all, my drone only lasts 20 minutes, it took me 8 minutes to get to this lighthouse

  

My drone kept telling me to land on the way there because of how windy it was

  

Once I got there and my battery life was at 50% my controller kept telling me to fly back NOW

  

I was only here for like 3 minutes and did not do the flight I had plan

  

Needless to say I was scared, I did not take the videos or pictures I wanted, and I don’t think ill ever try to fly here again!!

Hi, thanks for sharing your work with us. Please be careful in the environment as this may cause incident including the strong wind. Flying in a strong wind would be risky as the aircraft might not be stable and consume battery severely especially flying against the strong wind. Thank you for your support.

Sometimes you have to take a little risk and pay attention to the wind (so you have it in your favor on the way back)
Did you make these non continuous movements on purpose?

Any thoughts on why it was warning you to land already on the wa out??  Was there a big headwind going out or something??

I agree with you and yes I did it on purpose, I did not have much time at this place when I got there because the battery was already at %50.

Yes it was very windy from the start then it would get normal then the wind would start again and the drone would tell me to land, it took 7 minutes to get there and %48 of the batter y life, then I had to take pictures and come back, I was only there for like 3 minutes.

Great footage.  I love flying the Oregon Coast and am in the planning stage for the same flight.  Where did you take off from?  There are mixed messages regarding ability of taking off from Ecola State Park / Tillamook Head which would be the shortest route, 1.2 miles out.  Happy Flying

yes I heard that too but I hiked all the way out to the beach and took off from there, you'll find the way!!

Excellent images, thanks for sharing. I would be pretty nervous about having the bring it back with ~45% - 50% battery, but maybe on a day with less wind it wouldn't be as troublesome. Sate parks in Washington are off limits to drones without a special permit, which is rarely given.
