yes, agree on that    but on video it looks bit closer than actual.

Fun video, JJB*! By the way, that's a great blue heron in the video and not a stork. We have a heron rookery near where I live, and I've taken a lot of still photos of them over the years.

I've had mixed luck with photographing herons and egrets with my drone (almost all of my drone work is with still photos and not video). Most seem to be fairly nervous about drones and won't let me get that close. There was one exception: The white egret in the photo below completely ignored my Mavic Air for more than ten minutes while I zoomed around it taking photos. At one point, I flew the drone about 15 feet away from him, and he didn't seem to care.

you are absolutely right!!   i had a  'dutch = reiger' in my head but translated it wrong. How clumsy!

Well, lots of birds settle at airports.....guess they like the sound of engines and rotors   :-), so i wasn`t shocked but little surprised.
