Hello, I was hoping to get some direction or listen to some suggestions after my Mavic Air drifted into the ocean.  Ive never had to deal with DJI for any service as of yet.  I purchased it last December along with DJI refresh.  I don't feel like I was at fault with the crash so my question is do I try to look and resolve with DJI factory warranty or is my hand forced to use the care Refresh? As for what happened, I was taking video of the family at the beach using quicktrack circles. Battery was fully charged , at take off weak gps signal alert was showing but once home point was recorded it went away and 13-15 sat locked on. The first quickshot was flawless as the numerous times I have done before. I setup for the second go around, everything is normal and halfway through the circle, the drone shows weak gps signal, alert shows" Quickshot interupted. Aircraft will hover in place." The drone clearly doesnt hover in place and continues to drift and decend into the water. The drone also did not respond to any rc inputs. I thought that if there was a loss of signal the drone would enter rth. This is what normally happens and is what I have set in settings.  Also the downward facing sensors didnt stop it from descending to far either. So how do I proceed from here? A call to DJI service will be made soon, just wanted to see if I had a case for a warranty repair before using DJI care refresh. I appreciate any input.

Hi Cornerfreak, we are sorry for your loss, did you retrieve the drone in the end? If not, DJI Care Refresh will not cover it. But since your drone is still under warranty, please contact our support www.dji.com/support in working hours to start a ticket for the data analysis, our team will do their best to figure out what happened and provide the proper resolution, thank you.

I suspect user error, but see what they say.  Did you manually fly the complete course to be sure you had clearance and GPS signal all the way?  Remember also that GPS satellites are constantly moving.  If you don't have good sky access for 360 degrees, a critical satellite could have moved out of range if you are in (or move into) a bad area.  As for RTH with signal loss, that is control signal, not GPS.

Yeah I’ll have to see what they find. I was flying up and down the coast I was at with 0 problems.  I did not fly that course manually but quickshot overlapped the one I just did prior and goes thru the exact same spot it lost gps and it was no alerts were shown.  Not that it would matter but the drone was only 70 ft from me.  Anyhow I was able to retrieve the drone and will be contacting them.
