Finally managed to fly upove the clouds only needed to go up a mountain to get closer

How did it perform at high altitude and low temps?

My spark has an issue where the battery gets hot upove 40c always
This came in handy in the freezing weather as the spark was 47c while flying

WOW, what a great sequence.  Any idea on the bird's altitude for some of those shots??  Also interested to know relative altitude (bird vs. where you were standing).  Thanks in advance for the answers and for sharing those great images....

the issue could be due to me flying quite aggressively
in normal mode it stays cool
tho i dont think ill look in to it that much as i already flew it 34+ hours may upgrade

was roughly 700m to 1000m High in those shots


and my standing height was 3100m upove sea level
so it was flying 4100m high right on its max ceiling height

Thanks for the additional info.  That is pretty impressive, I don't think I had even seen footage from the max altitude.  Well done!!!

i didnt find that much footage too i guess because it can be very windy as after i recorded this 20min later it got so windy that i started feeling the push of the wind
and spark may not take off normally i have mine on .300 to remove limits

a tip if you fly that high dont go into a cloud risky and watch the percentage meter on the map in sport and slow down accordingly so it stays below 70%

My only advice would be to move around more slowly.
(or cut out the fast pans)
Other than that I like it.

Are you allowed to fly at that altitude?
Here in NL we have a max of 150m
But we don't have mountains so we can't cheat on that

i know that i was quite aggressive when i was flying i will try to be more gentle =)
i did fly quite high but as there are mountains i can fly higher then allowed and i really didnt want to miss such a perfect chance to take fly upove them even if i did something wrong as flying that high

one of the reasons i bought the spark is to take a clip upove the clouds so mission completed

i doubt they will fly close to the mountain and helis are rare =)
