Try another USB port. If that doesn't work, turn off the PC and re-start. Don't reboot as it does not reset the USB controller.

maybe cabled both together 1st, then powerup the outsider device?

When connecting a drone to a computer, at least an unknown device appears in the device manager?

Check to see if your computer USB drivers are still installed or check to see if the drone can be read from some type of other device?
