Hiking on the Park Butte Trail - Mt Baker, Washington

Two clips from yesterday's hike at Mt Baker.  The volcano is pretty close to the Canadian Border.  The peak is 10,781 ft (3,286 m) and is an active[9] glaciated andesitic stratovolcano.  The creek was gray in the morning and while the video does not show the color, it was a very chocolate color in the afternoon.  In years past, I've climbed it and backcountry telemark skied on its slopes.  There is a downhill area on its northside.

Thanks.  Well, for now, at least, the glaciers are full of water - frozen water!  But like many glaciers they are shrinking.  That creek is full of silt and it went from a milky gray in the morning to a rich chocolate brown in the afternoon as temperatures heated up.
