It's more interesting than looking at the camera.  I'm thinking about doing it all the time so I could get millions of feet recorded.  : )

When I first got the drones I deleted them so I lost tens of thousands of feet logged.  Flying in 3rd person is like buying a toy drone where you fly around but you get all the robust reliability of the latest DJI drones.  : )

I first got the idea when I went near NYC and someone was flying their Spark at night over water because his wife was annoying him.  He was off of work and had free time so he was flying in 3rd person.  I used to fly like this way back w/ DIY drones but I forgot about doing it.  Now I started to do it tonight and it was great!  Generated a crowd at the boardwalk asking questions about it then the Police showed up, wanted my licenses, asking questions etc.  I didn't bring my wallet as I was in lightweight mode.  I told him, I'm flying recreationally at the beach where no one is at, drone is registered, etc. and they left.

Lol, lightweight mode....  you need a 9-5.
