The FAROE ISLANDS - Føroyar A journey to the rough North Atlantic archipelago below the arctic circle. This is my visual interpretation of constantly transforming landscapes on the Faroe Islands. Their total area is about 1,400 km². Ranging from bizarrely shaped Islands called hólm, rugged terrain and vibrant green fields with sheep. Something i have never seen before in my life.
Most of the scenes showed here were filmed with my Mavic 2 PRO & the fly more kit.
For the images down below, i used a Nikon Z 6 handheld.
I filmed everything in 4K 30fps and in D-LOG.
To match the look from my photo gallery, i've created my own LUTs in Lightroom with the Export LUT Plugin.
Flying a drone on the Faroe Islands is amazing. Just make sure to follow the local faroese drone laws.
Some of the very nice spots from the Island are close to Vágar Airport, that means you have to fly close to a flight restriction zone.
Also, challenging: the weather. On the sunny days, wind was quite a problem. But not on all the valleys, make sure to find out the direction of the wind and chose a valley which is in the wind shadow.
