Umm, no, we can't. The sensor is 3992x2992 pixels. At 1920x1080 HD, you have enough pixels available to do a 2x digital zoom on top of the 48mm-equivalent lens setting, which means you're cropping in and only using half the sensor width and height to produce a 96mm-equivalent field of view. But it's pretty hard to divide 3992 in half and come up with the 3840 horizontal pixels you need for 4k. |
