Not sure I was class them as ship wrecks, they look like ships that have been purposely beached on shore as both have their anchors deployed. This is common practise along Namibias skeleton coast. Lovely pictures though, really like the hyperlapse havent tried to do one yet but must soon. Probably a ship as well but passing underneath the QE2 bridge at Dartford, UK, just waiting for that special ship to come through like an aircraft carrier or cruise boat

Actually they are both officiallly Shipwrecks.
They are Called the Demetrios 11, and the Edro 111.
They both ran aground in the rocks off shore in rough seas, and in the case of the Edro drifted to its final resting position close to the shore.
In the case of the Demetrios it was Captained by a person who falsified his papers for that type of craft and so was not qualified to be piloting that size and type of vessel!!
I’m sure that had a big part to play in how the accident occurred when it ran aground !! |
