Hi,

Sold my Osmo Pocket and replaced it with the Osmo Action!

About 1 min into recording, there is a faint crackling sound from the device, at first, I didn't think it was a problem, until a played back the videos.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any clue what it might be?

Suspect its a hardware issue with the cooling system?

What happens when you play back the file from the web using your browser? I'm still not getting any audio using Firefox or Internet explorer. I did, however, get audio when I downloaded the file.
Really odd sound. Like a small piece of plastic being vibrated around on the inside of the case.
One of two thoughts occurs to me.
Either there is a problem with your SD card not being up to spec. (Not fast enough or A2 compliant) Which personally I would think would have affected the video quality as well but who really knows?
Really don't use cards, not on the tested list. Stick to approved cards if only to eliminate any card recording problems.
Or Two:

There is a real problem with the audio.
Very strange. Either way, I've never heard anything like this before. Definitely not right at all.

So playback you can hear the sound, thats how I discovered it.

It starts about 1 min after starting to record, and usually when the unit it warm to touch.

SD card is fine, its a Sandisk Extreme U30 and the same I used in my Pocket and Mavic Pro with no issues.

Are you using a gimbal?  If so that might be motor noise.

I have now had the unit replaced and my replacement has no issues.

That was quick. Did DJI send the replacement or did you deal with another retailer?

Cool. I prefer to use retailers for that reason. Unfortunately, when I wanted my Osmo Pocket I could only get one online.

I have the same problem, crackling noise/sound when camera is on. Camera is 2 days old.
It doesen't metter if recording or not, I can here noise when camera is on, close to vent grill, below lens on the fron area.
I will try to replace the camera, I hope everithing will go well.
