For it is definitely better. Much more professional staff and the crowd. Short films, art films, pro cinematographers, etc. Also, they awarding Staf Pick, which is a big deal in Vimeo world.
No blogger or influencer crap and no that bloody advertising all the time   
YT is for DIY and some tutorial (which mostly bad).
It is like learning how to create stuff on YT and post that you create on Vimeo - at least for me it like that.
I do have a YT channel as well but not a big fan of it.
