Seems like DJI changed something in the WiFi code. After the recent update (S1 Firmware & PC Software) my "Wired Connection" does not work anymore:

Still can play in Solo Mode, but the video stream is not working - a direct connection via Phone is still working fine. Is there any way to go back to an older Firmware or something like a factory reset? Any help is highly appreciated.

Cheers

Yes, also uninstalled & reinstalled it. Same outcome   Checked it on a 2nd machine (my Notebook) still same problem. OS is Windows 10 1903.

Ugh, that is a problem.  I assume the firmware update went fine?  The robot rebooted, flashed all the LEDs, the robot voice counted through "10%...90%", right?

Ummm that is a hard one.  I can only suggest try to connect in another location / environment / WiFi / router.   Also cold boot your device, try another device...

My iPad mini last week refused to connect to S1 until I cold - booted it...
And, if all else fails, buy another one, carefully replace the defective module, re-pack and return.

Found the Problem.

Just Installed the old RoboMaster_x64_v1.0.2(260) Version and everything works like a charm. They changed something in 1.0.4 that completely breaks it in my environment.

I put the 1.0.2 version in a public read only DropBox:

You can't regress the firmware, but this old version of the PC App should work. Windows PC Only.

Many have reported issues with the Windows PC program V1.0.4.
The problem is not universal, however. I have been running V1.0.4 since its release with no issues.
I wonder if this could be a firewall issue. In my case, I have taken down all firewalls on my home network and on my TP-Link AC750 RoboMaster router.

Mee too, no issues at home - but my corporate Anti-Virus blocks installation on any of my work PC's.  It is detected as a Threat...

Update: The current PC Version 1.07 (1571035732453-RoboMaster_x64_Installer.exe) fixed the problem for me. Now everything is working great: Windows 10 x64 (Build 1903), Wireless connection via router & direct connection.

Thank you DJI

I updated with newest firmware 1.0.7(321) and was still cannot be connected and finally I got the reason on my experience:

I use a mesh wifi system and I compare the IP address of my PC and that of the Robomaster S1, then I found that they have different subnet mask. This reminded me that the wifi system was doing a role of router, it generate its own IP subnet that the Robomaster cannot reach the PC!

After finding the setting page (I use tp-link AC-1300), I changed the operation mode from Router mode to Base Station mode or Access Point Mode (AP) in other system then, the connection success.

Hope this share useful.
