So I currently have a ronin-s (updated) and a Sony A7Rii(with the multi-camera control cable). I want to know if ronin-s supports my camera to be controlled by the focus weel without buying a focus motor?

Hi edwardeeee, per the latest compatible list, Sony A7 II supports Zoom Control via Focus Wheel with the MCC-Multi cable connected, please check the screenshot below.

So it means that I need to buy a focus motor to manually adjust the focus of my camera with the focus weel right?

Yes, Focus wheel cannot be used to control the focus when connecting with MCC-Multi cable.
