do you have to send in the remote for professional repair to replace mavic pro remote battery?

If you started a ticket with DJI regarding the warranty replacement of a battery, I would think you only have to send in the battery on that repair ticket.
Remote would have nothing to do with it. (Unless you are having other issues with your AC)

It doesn't look very easy to do your self -

I'd ship the RC back - don't even try opening it or you'll void the warranty.

I would recommend getting it to tech support, never open it yourself!
