After balancing my brand new SC (no problem according to the app) I immediately noticed, that the horizon is tilted. Balancing is perfect, tried several lenses, always the same tilt.

What I tried to do:

- auto-tune motors
- calibrate for drift
- reset gimbal settings
- joint angle calibration

nothing worked. Please DJI, get this fixed or add an option the correct the offset in the app. Your drones can do it!

I received mine today and have the same problem. DJI, what’s the problem?

As you can see, the normal position after double tapping is always tilted.

There isn’t a good solution yet, unless DJI adds some kind of option to calibrate the horizon on the roll axis or compensate it manually.

Here’s what I did (thanks to another post further down who suggested this):

Map the roll axis to the joystick in the control menu, so you can manually roll the gimbal until the horizon is level. Problem: You have to do this every time you reset the position or turn it on and off.

Good news: I just received an email from DJI (German support). They tell me that they know about the problem and that it will be fixed by a new firmware update. Release date probably by the end of August.

That’s great news! I was about to send mine back for a refund due to not being fit for purpose

nothing changed - have latest firmware, but gimbal is still drifting
also did all those tricks- balanced, join angle, calibration,.... i even turned joystick off to avoid it interference on the gimbal. BUT.... no luck- still drifting
very disappointing
