Hi!
After a year of fun and joy with my Spark I managed to lose it. Suddenly lost signal and total blackout. Couldnt get drone home with RTH-button or manualy.
Ive been searching the last GPS-spot (lost signal)and surroundings with no luck so far. And Ive sent DJI support a message, but havent yet got any answer.
So I'll now try with you Forum experts;) if someone could see what really happend?

Can someone figure out what went wrong? Thanks in advance. And your opinion, do I have any possibilty to get DJI ship me a new Spark?

Ööö. Ive never dropped it. I always firmly place the battery to click on tight. But thx for considering that possibility.

Roundabout the 5:20 mark, you had the first yaw error and the AC momentarily went to Atti mode. You were also flying close to boundary of some restricted zone. Were you not able to see these warnings on the app at the time of flying?

This happened to me a couple weeks ago, the battery ended up falling out.  I never did find it, I have been arguing my case with DJI but they have refused to replace it so far.  At first the offered 30% off a replacement then they offered 50%.  At 50% off I really don't want to buy another one seeing how many people this has happened to and how bad DJI is about warrantying this or fixing an known issue. Today happened the unexpected. A stranger rang my doorbell.
" Excuse me but have you lost your drone?".
WTF? how can someone find my drone and know that it's mine? I didn't have any address written on it or id!

So we started an amazing chat. This kind guy had been cycling in that area I lost spark connection. He saw a drone next to the sidewalk in the grass. So he took it home for a closer look.
At home he wondered how could he find out whois drone is it? Then he searched online DJI manuals and discovered that it might have a memory card in. He hit the card into his pc and went threw the footage.
And comparing landscapes and videos with Google maps satellite view he narrowed his investigation to one house with a similar sunshade and garden bushes. Then he drove 50km and knocked my door! Fking SICK
Think how incredible lucky I got?! That someone smart and kind found my Spark! And that he was capable and willing to solve the owner of a little drone. Respect.
Happy endings do happen in real life.
Lesson I learned.1. Don't fly Spark over 200meters away 2. Avoid flying near power lines
p.s. Sparks finder was rewarded with real cash.

I have a text file on every SD card, with phone number and mail address.

There are small battery latch versions that are going around the world.  Some of the stories end up here but I assume, a lot never make the news..  All we can do is watch the damage unfold by people who post, I lost my Spark and have no idea what happened.

God bless that person. Just as 7 suggested above, have a text file titled LOST & FOUND (or something similar) inside your SD card. Put your address, mail id and phone number. I have my info written both in English and Japanese.

Wowww! What a beautiful final story! Something similar happened to me in Norway more than a year ago. I am still waiting for somebody to knock my door with my sd card

Did you figure out what happened to the Spark.
It might be difficult to get to the root cause but from my admittedly very limited flying experience could it be a prop/ engine problem ?
I don't know if the DJI flight data would report motor malfunction but if it does and it is not recorded on the black box data could it be that there was a disconnect on a prop or even a prop strike of some sort ?
Would that translate into all the Yaw warnings ?
What are the warning settings for Yaw 25 deg change in < 1 sec ??

Is it possible to give the location where is was found ?? Just for analysing the path after loosing connection.

Here you can upload your flight data. Some of the guys here are great about reading through it and figuring out what went wrong.

very interested to find out if you ever got to the bottom of this situation. would really be interested for me and other spark owners on what happened so we can attempt to avoid this same issue. your so lucky someone returned it that was defiantly karma on your side!! as someone else mentioned could you give location of where it was found exactly so maybe the path could be traced along with the flight data analyzed

You didn't write about the state of the Spark. Has it crashed and been injured or landed properly?

Vacuumin the data from the Spark it landed exactly where the data showed. Unfortunatly the data wasnt available from the Goapp without the drone;)

If you suspect a battery disconnect issue, then these would prevent that from happening
