Hi, thanks for the inquiry. We're hoping that you could get the best feedback that you may need in regards to this setup. We would recommend using a phone that is compatible with the Osmo Mobile 3 and DJI Mimo app. Should you have further concerns, please let us know.

@ nixuspix

My Osmo mobile 3 will arrive next week

I have also the IPhone 8 Plus and the MV88+ Usb mic. I will test it as soon as possible.

With the Osmo mobile 2, there were no space for the USB cable.. so I'm hoping this will work with the Osmo mobile 3 ;)

Thanks for this, can you explain the setup here please? If I was using a wireless mic such as this Boya WM6 wireless mic how would the balancing be? Many thanks.

As You can see see from my photo there is a displacement of the phone to one side to compensate 40g of Mic weight. The phone is balanced smoothly in my case and setup works flawlessly

Can you confirm that the Dji Mimo app captures the audio from the MV 88?

Many thanks. Have you tried using a wireless mic such as the lavalier Boya mic or the Sennheiser options? Many thanks for useful replies!

Would it be possible to place the mic on the gimbal insted of on the phone? Maybe
on top of the gimbal (right on top of the handle? This to prevent the weight on the
phone, and to prevent exstra load on the gimbal motors?

So at least control lamp on mic lights on when i enter the Mimo and continues to be on during filming. When i enter FilmicPro, it turns on the same way plus in Audio section of Filmic Pro i clearly see the Shure MV88 Mic as selected

Yes it is possible and i have done this at first, but then i encountered with the noise, coming from gimbal motors. Only after that i moved the mic to the phone to exclude the noise

It's a question that probably still needs to be answered. The Mimo app on my Android Pixel 3 doesn't recognize any external mics.

Hi,
MV88+ is better choice in my opinion than MV88 with Osmo Mobile 3 (Tested with iPhone X)

Works great with the iPhone 11. What is the adapter you are using (shown below)?
