How was the "about" 18 Minute flight time with 100Wh battery established?  Real life or stipulated?
If real life then under what conditions?  Altitude?  Stationary or Moving?  With Video On/Off and at what resolution?  Indoors without GPS,  Outdoors with GPS?   What was the take-off weight? .....?

I would say 15-22 minutes depending on the factors you mentioned; altitude, temperature, flying style.  At this point all the Inspires are flying at the same weight, about 2.9kg.   

But under what conditions did DJI establish the 18 minutes.? Same conditions as the advertised P2V+  25 minutes? (that must have been established with the Vision Plus hanging from a string with motors at idle ;) )

I have not seen a claim of 25 minute flying times on the P2V+.  I know that I have never advised anyone that.  Typically I get 15-20minutes on mine depending on the conditions.  If it is more than 110 degrees or less than 30 degrees F then my flights are on the shorter end of the range.  If it is temperate, then I am on the higher in of the range.  I don't press my batteries unless they have about 10 cycles on them.  They may be smart but I don't think they are brilliant.

25 min flight times was advertised all over the place.  That is one of the reason I purchased the PV2+.  B&H currently says "•Up to 25 Minutes Flying Time".  I was hoping that the inspire would have beat the PV2+ in flight times.

You are right and I would like to see them revise that statement.  Those times are more like a bare P2 than a Vision +.

Ed, I know you're only the messenger but in the UK it's actually illegal to advertise something (including a performance metric) that isn't repeatedly achievable. Scroll down and you'll see it says 25 minutes

It may say max flight time, but that sets an expectation.

ok, lets say around 18 minutes with the small battery. means we will fly around 25 minutes with the 5700 mwh version. thats fair enough i guess.
but now my question, before ordering an Inspire: how much will cost the battery??

purely theoretical with 18 Minutes as a base for a 100Wh battery you would get maybe 22 Minutes out of the 130Wh battery.  (per kg weight approx. 1.87 W/Minute flight time)
