So I was originally going to buy a z-axis stabilizer for Osmo Pocket but then I was sent one by a company called 'Steadymaker'. Pretty crazy seeing as I only have 200 subs on YouTube.

Anyway I made a video of my thoughts on whether or not these stabilizers are actually worth it or not! Hope it helps you and if you have any opinions I'd love to hear them!

I've seen this and another similar one on Amazon. There apears to be no fine tuning available on either. Are there pressure washers on the inside of the arms? This one I think is retailing at around £24:00 or lower.

[Edit] Yes, you can tell your ninja walk is pretty good without the use of a stabiliser.

Yeah on the main body you can tighten to make the spring horizontal, then on the arm you tighten one to adjust the 'springiness'. This vid by scotty makes stuff is pretty helpful and the version I had was identical :

Also thanks, using gimbals daily does help!

It's a pity then that the Amazon site doesn't show or talk about either adjustment then. Thank you for the info.

£24 seems quite reasonable.  Probably worth a punt.

Actually, I was wrong. It's under £20.

So basically someone made a "ScottyMakesStuff's 4th Axis Stabilizer in case" into an injection molded product.
And selling it in a half price.

Hi, Tide.

These would seem like copies without royalties. No worse than third party specialist batteries or grips for DSLRs or toilet bowls or a myriad of other products sold. If this is a prolific practice then you can only blame the consumers for buying them or governments for not implementing sufficient tariffs to make the items noncompetitive or the original manufacturer for not making their production methods as efficient.
What is the definition of a free market?

Oh, wait. I think I've accidentally wandered into a political debate again

I had one and had pretty much the same results except the issue for me was the build quality. On a couple of occasions the thing popped open when taking it out of my pocket - I have big pockets - and it fell to the floor. Which could have been fatal! But eventually it simply fell apart. It's quite fragile, not easy to adjust the spring, and the results though OK at first rapidly deteriorated with use.
