Most of the Greek footage I wouldn’t now be able to get due to the news flying regulations and restrictions

Very nicely done

I was actually filming from the church where the film starts and again the amount of the thermals and turbulance was amazing with the heat rising out of the caldera

i generaly do choose the filming location very carefully after doing quite a bit of homework although sometimes its nice to get the drone out and have a fly ! i think those days have now gone especialy with all the legislation in the uk and greece

Nice shots.
Some movements were a little bit 'abrupt' though.

yes but it couldnt be helped with the change of wind and turbulance from the updraughts from the caldera floor ! i could have done an orbit i suppose

Yes the restrictions was not in place when I filmed this about 5 years ago . Great part of the world to show the forum I think

It is always difficult to move in a nice and continuous motion.
But you will get better in time.
Just repeat the movement again if you notice a change in the motion.
I usually have to repeat my shots at least one time before I'm happy.

Wind does not have a lot to do with it though.
The drone can handle a lot of that stuff.

i beg to differ ! wind has everything to do with it ! im a competant flyer with hundreds of air hours !

The machine can only cope with a certain speed of wind especially if your coming accross the gust that why you get the quick rotation of the craft ! thanks for your opinion .

I understand lol I had one day to film that sequence as i was over from kos for the day i tried to get as much footage as i could as i knew i could process any bits i didnt like !

Whilst i could have used the orbit to do the circular shots i didnt acount for the amount of updraughs from the caldera and the air turbualnce caused by the heat thats why some of my videos have sharp movements that look very unatural!

im not sure what the techinical spec is for the phantom 3 pro and its abilities in wind but know from experience and carrying an anometer to measure wind speed anything above 14mph and it doesnt like it at all swirls around like water going down the toilet
