This couple are being held now for 10 weeks mainly from what I read because they were using a drone in their blogging, just be careful where your traveling with your Drone, who needs this kind of treatment, hopefully they are released soon.
They were arrested in Tehran for flying a drone without license and permission .

That is one of the last places I would take a drone let alone fly one.

They were arrested in Teheran for flying a drone without license and permission, they have now been held for 10 days, whole thing has turned political, it’s scary stuff and shows the need to always check the rules before you travel , but just like you I wouldn’t even dream of taking the drone there .

They also flew their drone on India which I thought was also a big no no.

I don’t know about India but flying your drone without license being held for 10 weeks sounds a bit steep .

Idiots.
Can't see whats political about this - they broke the law.

I can think of several countries that will jail you for bringing a drone in, yet alone flying.

Sympathy Level...Zero.

Thanks for sharing this thread for awareness to our valued DJI Forum members. We would recommend checking the rules and regulation of the location prior to the flight. Hope that they would be released soon.

I know Iran very well. It is a political issue and soon they will be free unless they were shooting sensitive areas (spying).
