DJI's download center at https://www.dji.com/downloads/products/phantom-4-pro shows firmware for the Pro + RC but not the GL300f RC (the one without the screen).
I've been unable to connect the GL300F RC to my Phantom 4 Pro so I an trying to manually put the bin file on a thumb drive to try to update the RC that way.
I've tried to link RC to P4P in the DJI Go App. I've tried every linking combination of buttons. DJI Assistant doesn't show the RC when connected to the PC though the drone appears just fine.

If I hold down the hamburger menu and then release, I get this screen regardding the RC
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi, thank you for reaching out and we're sorry for the trouble. Unfortunately, we don't have a downloadable file on our website for the firmware of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro RC. However, you may try to reset your Phantom 4 Pro remote controller,  Press the C1, C2 and shutter button at the same time. Power off and then power on the remote controller. Link the remote controller to the device. Follow the upgrade step of the status bar. Please keep us posted on the latest updates on the said issue for us to help you further. I got downvoted for whatever reason. This is exactly what DJI support said to do. Shut off the drone. Format the SD card, move the correct .bin to the sd card and start up the drone again. Firmware applied correctly.

I have the same exact issue and yet this one and mine are still left without resolution ive seen this problems a few hundred times scouring the internet for a Solution and yet there is none why can't dji just provide the goddam firmware files for download and manual update on there website this is clearly an issue many people are having and those people paid 1500$ for a drone that you won't provide the files for?? Think of the amount of time you support team has to spend dealing with the same problem ok ver and over when you could just post the fucking goddam files for download. I mean christ yiu have the 4 pro+ but not the 4 pro? Like how is that innany way justifiable or logical. Fucking  stupid. Lazy unknowledable support staff takes weeks to answer a single fucking message. I hate this company and this piece of ... drone I bought and have yet to be able to use. FuCK DJI!

still unresolved after 11 weeks of back and forth with useless retarded staff from response to response they cant even remember the problem or the model theyre dealing with and give solutions to other model RCs and drones, then take 2 weeks to respond when you correct them only to reply with another useless answer about a different drone, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BUY ANMYTHING FROM DJI.

PARROT OFFERED ME A FREE DRONE TO MAKE A VIDEO OF ME SMASHING AND DESTROYING MY DJI ONE. IM DEFINITELY CONSIDERING IT.
