Remove all filters!
Instead I bought a cheap UV filter and removed the glass and painted the frame black.
As you can see in the picture, the lens lies deeper and more shaded than before and the risk of getting lens flare is greatly reduced. And because the filter is removed the problem of ghosting between the filter and the lens is completely eliminated.
This tip is most suitable for still photography where you do not have to take into account video shutter speeds.

lens flare isn't a big issue for me if i keep the lens as clean as possible.  but any dust or any even tiny bits of oil on the glass will flare it off hard i noticed.     that being said though, i gotten a tiny bit of dust between glass and the camera inside and i'm half afraid of opening it up and blowing it out with a tool or brush i may get more dust inside as thats just my luck.   i will be forced into doing it one day soon, so far hasnt directly impacted image quality yet.

1st of all I love the flaring that the lens produces. Second: very bad idea. The Mavic flies quite fast and any possible debris will hit the lens directly. In addition, we don't know what kind of coating (if any) the lens has and / or if it is hard enough to be cleaned regularly without scratching it... 3d and closing, the lens filter makes the camera module slightly more aerodynamic while removing it gives the area in a more concave shape, probably further stressing the gimbal motors or introducing micro jitters.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I also like lens flares but only then I can control the effect of them
