We are consistently finding this and it's becoming a problem for us.

With an iOS device we can fly ~1km maintining good signal (M600P)
With a CrystalSky it becomes patchy at around 200m, we have added range extenders that have boosted that to 400-500m under ideal conditions, but still well less than the same setup and equipment was achieving with an IOS.

We have experienced this on 3 aircraft as soon as the CS was installed.

Is this a common problem? Does anyone have a solution?

Been a common problem with the CS. I’ve been told an update is coming, how long till that update is anyone’s guess. Will it address the problem...who knows. A little help is to download your maps and shut off your WiFi on the Crystalsky and you’ll get a better image transmission.
