Sydney Inspire and P3 owners, it's about time we all meet up and have some fun.

Who would be up for a get together?  We'll have to find a central spot where we can do some flying/filming.

If I get a job back home in Australia, and I am trying hard, we can certainly meet up.  I will even supply the snags for a BBQ.  Until then I will just have to dream about the nice weather.

Jim just diversifying off topic, when you done your last shoot internally what did you set your return to home height at ?

Do you mean indoors?   If so there is no RTH as there is no GPS, plus it's within 20 metres anyway in most cases.

Or am I misunderstanding the question?

No I was just wondering if you had to reset before flying indoors.  I would be just worried in case some comms failure caused it to enter return home mode and the last height was 20m, resulting in it rising into the roof.  So am I right in assuming that the RTH disables itself indoors ?

I can't say for sure but I think so purely because there is no GPS signal indoors so it doesn't note the home point on take off and since it has no idea where it is how would it do RTH anyway?  

I'm just assuming here but I'm pretty confident there is no such thing as RTH while flying indoors.

There is also a DJI Pilot Day at Balgowlah Golf on this Sunday 14th June starting 1pm. I'll be attending that.

I'd be there - but alas even with a TB48 the Inspire can't make it all the way up the Hume..

Colin from EEhobbies was setting up a DJI event up your way soonish, so I hear.

Great question, I'm not sure and havn't seen a registration, but based on past events where they did register, they don't turn away people who haven't.

Event went really well, couldn't ask for better weather for the demo, and I hope you got something good out of it. I flew the inspire with the new E800 props so was a little cautious.
It was great to meet a bunch of you in person as well and look forward to a possible meet-up.

Hello fellow Sydney Inspire owners. I thought I would recommend a couple of spots I like to fly when getting together with like minded enthusiast.

Spot One - Western Sydney Parklands. It offers amazing open space and best of all a place to put all your gear.

Well, based here in Canberra but if something ever gets organised I would be very tempted to drive up for the day/weekend.
