I'm not sure how this will interfere with flight dynamics and there's not munch info from the author but this is exactly what I need.... a high megapixel shooter.

Hi,

It seems to be mounted at the rear of the I1 and has its own servo which rotates the mount. Also has its own seperate remote which activates the rotation and shoot process.
As you mentioend, not clear how they are maintaining CG with it mounted where it is.

and the camera on a "sideways" position....feels weird

It appears to be a one trick pony: a device specifically for shooting 360 degree panoramic stills.  It's certainly not a video head as it does not compensate for the aircraft's motion the way the Inspire gimbal does.

I have purchased several products from this company and have always had success and excellent quality.  I am waiting for Dronexpert to make a similar mount for my Sony RX100II
