Hello! When I take a vertical shot, the DNG file looks like a marriage. The jpg format looks good. Original file by link https://drive.google.com/file/d/ ... fM/view?usp=sharing

Nice shot. I will check the DNG soon.

What is wrong with the DNG?
Looks ok to me when viewing it in Affinity Photo.
(just like what you can expect from a compact camera raw output)

Look at the dividing strip. Colors are different.

Yes, that makes sense. But I do not want to fix this problem.

This JPG is created separately from DNG

That will always be different from the jpeg out of the device.
Unless you know the exact algorithm they use.

Is there something else you want to have fixed?

Only this, nothing more. I don’t often take photos vertically in Osmo pocket. But I was surprised to see such a DNG.

I alone see that this is bad? Horizontal files look good. Why do you want to convince me otherwise?

I'm not convincing you, I'm just saying I don't see anything wrong.
What exactly is wrong?
Can you put it side by side in one file?
I really don't see differences between the DNG and the JPEG other than the obvious color differences because the JPEG is processed in camera.

(sorry for not understanding it, I'm not a native English speaker, what is a dividing strip?)

I thought it was in the ground somewhere.
Totally skipped the sky.
You mean the blue - purple line.

That is not in the DNG right?

This is how the DNG looks in Affinity Photo.
Still some color shift, but no hard line.

Such a strip in all my DNG files. Maybe you also have such a problem, so I raised this topic. Only in vertical photographs.

That is weird. Because I don't see it in the DNG file (look at the screenshot above)

But I do notice a color shift, so maybe Affinity Photo does smooth it out.
It is hard to check otherwise, the windows Photo's app shows no shift at all. (probably because it has some auto correction on it's own)

What software do you use to convert DNG to jpeg?

Adobe Lightroom. I processed a lot of photos, but this is the first time I've come across this.

You have a smooth transition in the sky. You definitely did not use masks?

Adobe Lightroom. I processed a lot of photos, but this is the first time I've come across this.

It is strange.
You see my preview right?
I did nothing to the DNG file (checking the boxes only has effect when you change the sliders too
Right now they are all at 0%)

So I don't see a line in the DNG file. Just a color shift.
Looks like the marriage between Lightroom and vertical DNG's captured with Osmo P is not the best one.
If you open the DNG in other software, I'm curious if you still see it.

My assumption is that Affinity Photo does do some basic corrections that I can't see.
Since you clearly see a hard line and I don't.
If I have the time, I might dive into this matter via the Affinity forum, but right now I don't have that (time)

I think you're right. Adobe Lightroom does not understand vertical photos. I opened the DNG file in a standard application for viewing photos on my Mac, and everything was fine.

I'm fairly sure that the default viewers have some auto correction algorithm behind them.
I have noticed a little bit of lens correction in other DNG files that I opened in the Photo's app (Windows PC)
So I'm not sure who is showing the truth.
Adobe or Affinity.
Maybe there is a sudden shift in color balance in vertical shots taken with the Osmo Pocket. (since you don't have it in landscape mode)
But various viewers show different results. So that remains uncertain for me.
It is interesting however to find another user and get him / her try a portrait mode shot too in DNG.
Just to see if there is anything going on in your device, or in any Osmo Pocket.
