I mentioned the other day in this thread the availability of a mesh model of the RoboMaster S1. Well, this week, I wanted to modify a Picatinny rail 3D model to fit the blaster/cannon of one of my S1s. So, I bit the bullet and bought the access rights to the model, hoping they could help me with my predicament.Interestingly, the fee you pay TurboSquid gives access to not one model, but a number of them.
I like working with Autodesk Fusion 360 as my "go to" CAD program. I found a ".obj" version of the model which uploaded without any issues as shown below in Fusion 360.Being that it is a mesh model (vs parametric), the use of polygons to approximate curves is not ideal, but I found it sufficient for my purpose. From the 3D model I created, I was able to create .STL and G-Code files I needed and the 3D printed part fit pretty well.
