Lost a prop, maybe?

that is insane.. not sure what's happened. i had had this happen once on my mavic air i used to own where like camera goes nuts, drone erratically climbing and flying out of controller (not indicating Atti mode within the app screen) , i though for sure it was going to crash .. however after i realized it was freaking out with any stick input from me as if inverted atti mode without any warnings i initiated RTH and that worked.

few tips for people may encounter this rare behavior:

1. do not panic as panic will result in a crash most times

2. let off the sticks to see how it reacts and behaves, this can actually work.. sometimes app doesn't show every error and you maybe in a weird atti mode

3. once you gained some level of stability, check to see why within you app.  if having erracting climbing check VPS readings for example, at bottom of screen in live view.  or any errors or warnings.  
4. switch flight modes.. switch to sport then position mode do this a few times.  this is an old trick to break out of automated functionality, switchign to sport mdoe from position mode should normally end it, do this a few times and should cleared out of any mode, make sure back in position mode before next step..

5. turn off all vision based aids, no avoidance, no vision positioning these maybe faulty or causing the drone to freak out..

6. check to see if stability returned, check app again for any warnings, errors, etc tc.  is there alot of wind, is motor max speed.. is there a warning about a motor having any errors like ice on prop, vibration error, etc etc... where we going next..with this?

7. check GPS count and compass readings,, if compass is green and you got plenty of GPS, initiate a manual RTH from the controller.

8. if RTH isnt possible, locate a self drop spot fly to it and land..this should always be part of pre planning is to have atlast a secondary landing location figured out in the rare event an emergency happens and need to "dump" the drone somewhere other then bottom of a raging river or on crowd of people..
