I know it is better to use bottom USB port on RC and yes that works fine. However, I having a weird issue with side micro usb port. I have now tried with three different air Remotes all have same issue. When i use cable that came with drone (micro to C)(and yes i have tried various, including new one), my phone sporadically charges, stopping and starting. The DJI Goapp4 does NOT connect to phone. Also, when using assistant 2 i cannot connect RC to update. When i connect side micro to computer it just sporadically charges remote making the sound as if continually connecting and disconnecting. Again i tried a large range of cable and 3 different Remotes, the same thing always ahppens. What is going on. I keep getting home too late for online support.

Also using Pixel 3. I have with tried two different pixel 3 and a android tablet i have at home. All do same thing

Try a different cable and see if that helps.

for those wondering. Spoke to DJI on messneger. he sent through an update file for assistant 2. It then allowed to connect RC.

Still working on phone connect fix
