Hi Mavic Air and DJI community.

Could you please tell me what is the real size of the camera sensor of the Mavic Air?

Searching in internet I found two datas:

6.17 mm x 3.47 mm (0.243 in x 0.136 in) (https://vfxcamdb.com/dji-mavic-air/)
6.3mm x 4.7mm (https://www.djzphoto.com/blog/20 ... amp-comparison-page)

As you can see there is a big differences, so I want to be sure what is the real size.

I don't know the answer, but just curious..... is there a reason behind the question?  

Also, just based on the fact that the Mavic Air's 12MP photos are a 4x3 (4056×3040), I think the 6.3mmx4.7mm sensor size seems to make a bit more sense than the other one.  The ratio size of the first one isn't very close to the 4x3 ratio, whereas, 6.33x4.7 is very close to it.

I am agree with you. I also found on this source (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Di ... e_and_angle_of_view) the numbers of 6.16mm x 4.62mm for a 1/23". And according to what you have writen, it makes more sense, because the relation is almost exactly to the 12MP photos (1.333333).

The reason behind the question is that I need those values for calculate the GSD (Ground Sample Distance) to make orthophotos with the Mavic Air.

I was working with dji mavic air pictures in meshroom today and it said 6.17000 for the sensor size. So the first one I think.
